About Manhattan Therapy Collective

We are a group practice of psychologists committed to the highest standard of care, multicultural psychology, and a social justice orientation to mental health care. Our mission is to help people flourish through empowering, integrative, and effective mental health care. We provide therapy that cares for each person’s growth, healing, and humanity. Check out our website for further information on our approach and larger vision. We only serve adults 18 years of age and older. The most common concerns treated by our team are anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, dating or relationship concerns, challenging interpersonal dynamics, career or academic stress, trauma disorders, life transition adjustment, marginalized identity stressors, cross cultural concerns, perinatal and postpartum issues, grief and loss, and perfectionism.

We prioritize integrative and multiculturally responsive clinical practice and a professional growth mindset, believing that we have to start with ourselves. Our practice supports the professional development and emotional wellbeing of its psychologists, as clinician health is needed if we are to be useful, present, and fulfilled by our work. We are committed to best practices through continual training, peer consultation, supervision, and regular self-care. We are committed to co-creating a healthy work culture and supporting work-life balance.

Ideal candidates are psychologists seeking to join a supportive group practice setting with a strong missional focus and interested in contributing to its vision, culture, and growth. Applicants must be confident in their clinical ability, areas of specialization, and organization skills, as they are expected to manage their own caseloads, billing and consider supervisory opportunities. Psychologists experienced in BIPOC or LGBTQ+ mental health are a good fit as our practice draws a highly diverse patient population seeking multiculturally responsive therapists. If you have an additional specialty or unique scope of practice, our practice can support the marketing of that niche to assist in the development of your ideal caseload. Those with prior private practice experience (not mandatory) are encouraged to apply, as well as anyone interested in a part-time start and building to full-time. There is no established contract length, but applicants wanting to become part of a group practice longer-term will be prioritized. Psychologists who are BIPOC, LGBTQ+, have a background in counseling psychology, or strong experience treating trauma are especially encouraged to apply.
